From time to time, we need a safe space away from our daily busyness to take care of ourselves.  We meet with individuals one-on-one to understand their experiences and support them as they navigate their challenges, hopes and dreams to live a more fulfilling life.

Life is full of challenges and we all feel stuck at times.  Individual counselling provides a safe space for you to understand yourself and your distress, and to explore ways to foster growth and healing.

Working primarily from an attachment lens, we utilize Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT) to help you make sense of the emotional processes that cause your distress so you can be empowered to react differently.  EFIT privileges emotion.  Not only is emotion a key driver in structuring inner experience, view of self and others, and motivation for change; it also has a powerful role in shaping key interactional patterns in relationships.  By recognizing and organizing your emotional experiences within yourself and with significant others, EFIT helps you restructure these experiences so that new patterns of reconnecting to self and others can be shaped and a new sense of security and emotional balance can be experienced within.
